Eady comments on the expansion of Orleans Infants and St Stephen’s Schools

Cllr Malcolm Eady• [Oct 25] Cllr Malcolm Eady writes: I AM very pleased that after 2 years of delay the two governing bodies and the Council have at last agreed to the expansion project. We have now expanded all the link schools to the local secondary school Orleans Park and what already is concerning parents is the lack of places at that school.

The options are either to expand the school or provide a new school. The only site the Council has available for a new school is that at Clifden Road, which it is purchasing from the Adult College and then very controversially offering to the Catholic Church for an exclusive Catholic school. The Council needs to think quickly, while it still has options available.
