• [Sep 12] The Boundary Commission writes: . . IN the Borough of Hounslow, we noted that the electorate was too large for two constituencies. We decided to reduce the electorate of the existing Brentford and Isleworth constituency by including 1 ward (Hounslow Heath) in our red Teddington and Hanworth constituency, which would also contain 2 wards (Hanworth and Hanworth Park) from the existing Feltham and Heston constituency and 7 Richmond upon Thames wards from the existing Twickenham constituency.
In Richmond upon Thames, we noted that the electorate was too small for two constituencies. We also noted that the existing Twickenham and Richmond Park constituencies each had an electorate within 5 % of the electoral quota, but that it was not possible to leave the Richmond Park constituency unchanged as we had decided to include the Kingston upon Thames part of the constituency in the South London sub-region. We propose to include the remaining 11 Richmond upon Thames wards in a [yellow] Richmond and Twickenham constituency, including four (St Margaret's and North Twickenham, South Twickenham, Twickenham Riverside, and West Twickenham) from the existing Twickenham constituency.
Notional results on 2010 vote:

• Zac Goldsmith and Vince Cable to battle it out as Richmond Park seat faces chop [Informer Sep 12]
• Twickenham MP Cable concerned at constituency propsals [RTT Sep 14]
