• [Jun 28] Rupert Basham writes: RESIDENTS are invited to have their say on the controversial plans to redevelop Twickenham station at a public meeting at Richmond College in Egerton Road, on Thursday July 14, from 7 to 9 pm.
It is being organised by the Twickenham Advisory Panel, to allow residents the chance to understand and question the plans . . Panel member, Graham Henderson, said: "Twickenham is our town, and it is important that residents understand what is being proposed, and have the chance to question those who are charged with delivering a new station for the town. The public meeting provides local people with this opportunity. The station development plan still needs to be approved, so nothing is yet set in stone."
A representative from Solum - a joint venture between Network Rail and Kier Property - will be holding a presentation at the meeting, which is being held at Richmond College, to provide residents with a good idea of what is being proposed from the new development. This will be followed by a question and answer session . . The panel is asking residents to send in written questions in advance of the meeting. To submit your questions or to register interest in attending, email tap@richmond.gov.uk or call 8487 5016.
