• SUSAN Kramer has joined local councillors to warn the Royal Parks' authorities that parking charges in Richmond Park would have serious consequences for residential areas near the park gates.
She said: "If cars are charged for parking in Richmond Park, the parking will move onto residential roads outside the gates and make life impossible for local residents. This will force communities to set up CPZs when they are otherwise not needed. We have no public transport through the park which means that cars are often the only option. This policy does far more harm than good. I encourage anyone concerned to respond to the public consultation."
The consultation ends on May 1; comments should be sent to: Consultation@royalparks.gsi.gov.uk
