A pulsating line-up of musicians from across the globe will get Richmond Riverside rocking at the On The Edge music festival over the weekend of August 18 and 19.
The free event, run by Richmond Council's Arts Service, is now in its twelfth year and regularly attracts thousands of visitors to the banks of the Thames. This year's programme features sounds and dance from north and equatorial Africa, salsa, roots, afro-funk and more. Festivities run from 1pm to 8pm on both days.
Cllr John Coombs, Cabinet Member for Youth, Culture and Leisure on Richmond Council, said: "We are delighted to host On The Edge at Richmond Riverside and once again there is a superb line-up. Since its inception in 1995, the festival has introduced thousands of residents and visitors to the creative talent of musical artists from across the globe. By drawing performers from such a wide range of countries and cultures it's a real opportunity to celebrate arts and diversity, and wonderful entertainment for young and old alike."
